Stress is the key

We have become increasingly aware of the role that stress plays for the individual with special educational needs and autism, their experience of their symptoms and for their government, family and carers. We have therefore developed a range of services which specifically acknowledge the management of stress and the development of coping skills as an essential part of the therapeutic process.

  • Autism is a lifelong condition which affects how a person makes sense of the world around them

  • Autism is more likely in boys than girls: 4:1

  • Autism is associated with learning disabilities- 75%

  • Recognising and understanding the difficulties associated with autism and planning a teaching approach based on this understanding help children with autism to make progress

  • There is ability in disability
